My Journey

Hi, I'm Abi! I'm the face behind the tattoos and this website.

My journey with art started when I was a child- as cliche as it sounds i've been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember! I always knew I wanted to be an artist, starting young at 6 years old- I'd colour and decorate IKEA pencils i'd collect, selling them to my classmates so i could buy penny sweets from the local shop.

By the age of 14 I was selling my illustrations and paintings to friends and family and ran a successful instagram page to promote myself. At 16 I had my own website where I started to focus on more illustrative tattoo style work, hoping to one day be a tattoo artist.

After leaving school at 18 I pursued my passion at university, studying Fine Art at Leeds Arts University and graduating in 2020.

After graduating, the covid lockdown presented it's challenges, but i continued to create and develop my practice. During this time I completed a range of tattoo design commissions, building a strong and diverse portfolio of illustrative work.I was also fortunate enough to have my artwork featured on a book cover and collaborated with resin artists and mould producers to create custom designs.

Alongside this, I worked in photography, discovering a real passion for the medium in my spare time, which led to becoming an internationally published photographer.

In April 2023, after several years of saving while working across sales, admin, marketing and retail, I left my job to pursue a tattoo apprenticeship. Without a position secured, I commited fully to developing my skills and pushing towards a career as a Tattoo Artist.

A couple of weeks later I was thankfully offered an apprenticeship at Hollow Hearts tattoo Collective, where I was mentored and supported in developing my practice. I've since spent the past few years refining my style, with a focus on illustrative, blackwork and ornamental tattooing.

My work is heavily inspired by the natural world, often incorporating botanical elements and animals, alongside themes that are witchy and feminine.
